    Our volunteers were serving non-stop. 96 friends had barbecue chicken wings, mashed potatoes, string beans, dinner rolls, beverages and cookies.

    The bakery made a generous donation of 100 delicious, fresh-baked cookies to add to the snack bags we were preparing for our friends in need. We were preparing for our Walk For Essentials to be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

  • Ready to spend donation money

    We were excited to prepare for our event. We partnered with Haircutz 4 the Homeless for their Annual Labor Day event on Monday, September 4, 2023 in Center City, Philadelphia. Our triplets (Ka'Ana, Kemyatta and Ka'Sai) and Brielle were heading into the store ready to buy healthy snacks for our friends in need.

    Once we explained to the kids in our family that everyone doesn't get to eat everyday, they took pride in the assembly of the Carrie Cares Snack Packs.

    It took teamwork to get our table organized before we starting serving our friends in need.

    We were blessed to have 50 snack packs, 50 personal hygiene pouches and clothing to give away. We had to restock the table multiple times throughout the day as we served those in need.

  • Pop Up Pizza Party - August 11, 2023

    Our partner non-profit and extended family Haircutz 4 The Homeless allowed us to served pizza and cold water at Broad & Walnut Streets while B, the barber gave out free haircuts to those suffering from homelessness.
